Culture is a Weapon

The FTP Movement has redefined activism by making "organizing the new cool." This is achieved through a dynamic strategy of creative resistance, where the movement blends high-impact cultural production with essential community survival programs.

By utilizing film, music projects, and literature, FTP transforms political education into an immersive experience. These creative outlets don't just document the struggle; they serve as the heartbeat of a movement that bridges the gap between art and the front lines. The Architecture of Creative Resistance

FTP’s approach is a multi-layered ecosystem designed to nourish both the body and the mind:

  • Cultural Production: Initiatives like Poets 4 Political Prisoners, independent film screenings, and music projects serve as the "soundtrack" to the revolution, ensuring that the message of liberation is accessible and engaging.

  • Political & Physical Literacy: Through Political Education Classes and Urban Survival and Preparedness Workshops, FTP equips the community with the mental and physical tools necessary for self-determination.

  • Community Survival Programs: The core Feed The People Programs and Potlucks address immediate needs, proving that revolution starts with mutual aid and shared resources.

  • Spirit & Solidarity: Events such as Drum Circles, Black August Weekend, Crew Love, and Family Days foster a sense of joy and belonging, making the movement a lifestyle rather than just a duty.

  • Direct Action: The energy from Art Shows and Town Hall Meetings is funneled directly into the streets through Rallies, Protests, Marches, and constant grassroots demonstrations.

Black Power Media

Black Power Media (BPM) serves as the official propaganda arm of the FTP Movement. In this role, we reclaim "propaganda" as a vital tool for liberation—a means of disseminating revolutionary truth, countering corporate misinformation, and broadcasting the blueprints for Black self-determination.

Our vision is to establish Black Power Media as the premier catalyst for social justice and global Black empowerment. As a unapologetically anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist platform, we are dedicated to dismantling the ideological and material structures of global oppression. By amplifying the expertise of frontline activists, radical educators, and marginalized voices, we bridge the gap between theoretical dialogue and direct community action.

We recognize that a dependent people cannot be a free people. Therefore, our mission is to transition from merely distributing meals to building the infrastructure necessary for our communities to feed themselves.
